Arno Karon is a contemporary Armenian artist whose works stand out for their surrealistic, deeply psychological symbolism. He was born on March 13, 1999, in the village of Arevatsag, Lori Province. Having been engaged in drawing since childhood, he took his first steps on the inspiring soil of rural silence and nature, which later had a profound influence on the formation of his creative language.
He specialized in fine arts, graduating from the Armavir Art College, where his individual approach to color, composition, and symbolism was shaped. His style is clearly connected to surrealist traditions, inspired by Salvador Dalí’s atmospheric and deeply subconscious worlds. In Arno’s paintings one often encounters symbolic figures, eyes, bodies, which dissolve into dreamlike scenes, expressing the psychological storms and spiritual cries rising from within a person.
Currently, he lives and creates in Yerevan, where his art is formed not only as a visual expression, but also as a path of self-expression and a search for truth. His works often address themes of human subconsciousness, spiritual awakening, and confronting the self. This art is at once soft and harsh, deep and painful—like human reality.
Through the Karon brand, Arno presents his creations on digital platforms, where art becomes a dialogue—not only through images, but also through texts. He often uses interpretations of his paintings as an inner voice, which are combined with symbolic analyses, biblical, philosophical, or critical perspectives.
His nature is expressed in his works through self-criticism, a devotion that reaches the depths of thought, and an honest voice from the depths of the inner world. He has no superficial approaches; he believes that art must move, disturb, make one think, or even cause pain, if it helps a person see their true face. His mission is to awaken people’s souls, remind them how to truly see and live. Not only to paint, but to relive and convey.
