Arno Karoni is a contemporary Armenian artist whose works are distinguished by surrealist and deeply psychological symbolism. He was born on March 13, 1999, in the village of Arevatsag, Lori Province. From a young age, he was captivated by painting, taking his first steps against the backdrop of rural silence and nature, which later profoundly influenced the development of his artistic language.
He specialized in fine arts, graduating from the Armavir Art College, where he developed his unique approach to color, composition, and symbolism. His style is clearly rooted in surrealist traditions, inspired by the atmospheric and subconscious worlds reminiscent of Salvador Dalí. Arno’s paintings often feature mysterious figures, eyes, and bodies that merge into dreamlike landscapes, expressing the inner psychological storms and spiritual cries that move the human soul.
Currently, he lives and works in Yerevan, where he approaches his art not only as a visual expression but as a path of self-expression and the search for truth. His works often explore themes of reflection, spiritual awakening, and confronting one’s identity. His art is at once gentle and harsh, profound and relentless — much like the reality of human existence.
Through the Karoni brand, Arno presents his works on digital platforms, where art becomes a dialogue — not only through images but also through accompanying texts. He frequently uses captions as internal reflections, often intertwined with symbolic interpretations, biblical, philosophical, or critical perspectives.
His personality is reflected in his work — self-critical, obsessively devoted, bringing honest expression from the depths of his inner world. He avoids superficial approaches, believing that art should move, disturb, provoke thought, or even cause pain, if that pain helps a person see their true self. His mission is to awaken the human spirit, to remind people of the importance of seeing and living truthfully. For him, art is not merely about painting — it is about experiencing and transmitting.
